AIs can be hacked into, their programs and protocols rewritten. But Dawn was self-aware, sentient, his own being. It doesn't feel like it could be something as simple as that.

I don't know if friend is the right word. We shared things in common, as sentient AI who didn't want anything to do with the war.

For the most part, yeah, but there are always exceptions. Places too locked down for even me to access.

Do you think that's out of fear of AIs like you, or because there are hackers?

Probably both.

It could have just been paranoia. PTSD. I don't know if they actually knew, or were just scared of the possibility.
